Montana is the home to over 39 Hutterite colonies; these communities are run by German-speaking Anabaptists and are known for their hard work in producing eggs, pork, and garden produce as well as their devout religious views. The Hutterites have had an immense impact on Montana’s agricultural industry, providing 90 percent of the state's hogs and 98 percent of its eggs. They also contribute to food banks throughout the area.
